As far back as he can remember George Anthon Kibbie has sung. Son of professional entertainers, he was borne in Sun Valley Idaho and has had a taste for the stage ever since. An in-demand operatic tenor, he has sung all over the northwest in many venues from restaurants to open-air concerts to such high-exposure events as World Fest, The Italian Festival and the Northwest Folklife Festival — all at the Seattle Center. His stage works include La Boheme, Carmen, Kismet, Carousel, HMS Pinafore, The Mikado and other Broadway and grand opera productions where he has sung rolls ranging from the lead tenor to the guy in the third row that nobody notices. Fortunately, the "invisible" rolls have been few. He is also very much in demand as the tenor soloist for Handel's Messiah, having given over 90 performances to date.

Tony currently sings with Fortissimo, a highly successful northwest opera trio that is scheduled to tour Italy in the spring of 2007 as the in-house entertainment for a large international travel agency.

Father of twelve and grandfather of many, his true joy is seeing his children follow in his footsteps and bring happiness to all through opera.

In the words of the renowned soprano Renee Fleming, singing is work in progress. As so it is. Thus, Tony continues to study voice with Maestro Robert Petersen in Bellevue.
